A Netflix Community

Ok, I'm in ranting mode. WHY do people rent a film that clearly states why it's rated what it's rated, and then instead of REVIEWING the film, say how inappropriate they found it? I found a comment on a Lewis Black disc that my husband rented about how the comic used vulgar language. UH, yeah. Weren't you familiar with Lewis Black before you rented his DVD? If people can't handle the material then WHY are they members of NF? Maybe they should just sit home and stare at the ceiling. It's called life, people. Get on with it.

It's one of those gitchy things we'll have to deal with -- like reviewers who can't spell either. It's OK to be conservative, evangelical, homeschooling or whatever -- but it sucks (for them too, in my opinion) when low intelligence coincides with some in that demographic. Like the folks who say that a movie with two F words or a passionate kissing scene should be rated R (or X, which no longer exists). They don't know what R and NC-17 allow (MPAA ratings guide)? It's just that they're a little out-of-touch with what goes on in the real world.

I think it's kind of funny that a PG-13 allows one (and only one) use of the F-word. As if 2 uses would put it over some kind of line of moral unacceptability.
