I watched Danny Boyle's Shallow Grave for the first time the day before yesterday, which IMO was very good.
Last night I watched 28 Weeks Later, which was also pretty good. Brutal and disturbing in some parts, I would recommend for horror fans who haven't watched it yet.
Mitchum is so bad ass, he'd take all those humorous Chuck Norris platitudes and roll them up and smoke them...then when he's nice and relaxed he'd whip Chuck's ass. On the other hand though, Mitch is probably smart enough to keep Bronson at a wary distance, and vice-versa.
A decent B movie on Instant Watch: Resurrection. Christopher Lambert takes some getting used to as John Prudhomme. Robert Joy is incredible. (You can see him these days as the chief medical examiner on CSI: NY).
I am Legend, if it did well at the box office I woulda said it was overrated but I don’t think it did that well. I felt like I was constantly on edge waiting for something to happen but it never did. It reminded me too much of Tom Hanks talking to that insipid volleyball. It wasn’t horrible, just wasn’t as great as they hyped it up to be.
21 Grams was great. It felt a lot like Crash even though it was pre-Crash with all of the different character storylines connecting in one way or another. It tackled some pretty intense life situations too which was great.
Up Next: Before the Devil Knows You’re Dead and Eastern Promises
10000 BC : Utter crap. What's worse is that its PG-13 rated crap! How can you have sword fights and no blood? Retarded. WHy did I watch this? I was looking for bloody swordfights and didn't notice the PG-13 until it was too late
The Last Winter : Awesome cerebral horror from indie talent Larry Fessenden. So long as you don't expect Carpenter's The Thing (itself a masterpiece of a whooly different sort)...then I heartily recommend it
Yeah... 300 + Apocolypto + (possibly) The Pathfinder = 10000 BC
I swear, it even has a character with that freaking crappy over-deep Xerxes voice filter.
I watched about 5 hours of Are you Being Served? ***** it is still a classic after all these years. The hillarity of the cast is still there ... 'You Have Been Watching' Loved IT!
Are you Being Served? - This is one of my favorite British shows. Have you seen Black Books and Black Adder. They are very different from Are You Being Served but just as much fun.
Black Adder on PBS when I was younger ... I intend to see more British TV now that I can get in on NF ... Red Dwarf is what I'm waiting for after I finish AYBS? .
