Ok, Family Guy lovers - let's share. I just love this show. It's taught me so many life lessons and opened my eyes to the world. For instance, it's hard to think that I used to be naive to the fact that...
Candy is made out of sunshine and farts.
Dinosaurs died out because Peter touched himself at night.
Sea World tends to ban those who discover what a whale's blow-hole is not for.
A hooker's vision is based on movement, so they can't see you if you stand still.
Tuna salad is mayo and cat food.
Any others out there who love this show and have learned some great things? Please share...
I didn’t get into it until it got canceled. At first nothing in it kept my attention for more than a few minutes. But now that the reruns are on TBS or Comedy Central (or whichever one they’re on) I’m having a lot of fun with them. It was worth the second look, it rips on our culture like nobody’s business but somehow since its set in the future it doesn’t come across as in your face as it does with FG.
Actually for me IMO FG>Simpson's>Futrama>American Dad, and the only reason for this is that first I saw most of them before they got cancelled then I watched them each 3x each in syndication on Cartoon Network, then now I still will watch them on Comedy Central when I catch them Simpson's get the edge because I can watch new episodes it doesn't get anymore stale than watching the same episode 10+ times, not to say there aren't Simpson episodes I have seen 20+ times but the next time I catch them there is a chance I haven't seen the next one.
Yes the Simpson's movie did still a little like a long episode, Stewie to me felt like 3 episodes spliced together and that is why I felt like the Simpson's felt more movie like. I do have Bender's movie in my queue somewhere so I will find out how they do with it. I do agree I think all things like that we are wired to think of in term of episodes so yes that would make them seem like long or short versions of that, on the other hand though a movie of anything from TV would in technicality just be a really long episode.
