Netflix is including mostly standard DVDs in their "Critics picks in Blu-Ray" section. It would seem to me that movies selected for this category would actually be Blu-Ray disks. Am I missing something here? If you are not careful, when you select a movie from this list you will receive a standard DVD. There is often not even a Blu-Ray version available for movies on this list.

I randomly looked at 20 of the critic picks and only 1 of them wasn't on Blu-Ray. "Dude, Where's My Car" had a Blu-Ray release date, then got postponed indefinitely. Not seeing where you get "often not even a Blu-Ray version available".
Payback, Dances with Wolves, Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon, Thomas Crown Affair, Ronin, Master and Commander, Dodge Ball, Starship Troopers, The Siege, Kingdom of Heaven, Dude, Where's My Car, The Davinci Code, Hannibal.
When I add a title from the Blu-Ray critics list, I expect to receive a Blu-Ray, not a standard DVD.

The director's cut of Kingdom of Heaven is on Blu-Ray. Master and Commander is coming to Blu-Ray on May 13. Payback on April 10.
The rest of those had tentative Blu-Ray release dates at one point and were cancelled/postponed for one reason or another. But, yeah, they should probably fix that.
