what movie was so terrible, that you walked out of the theatre

i'd have to say the movie that actually made me get up & walk out was "House of the Dead" that movie is so bad that the director should have been thrown into a pit of his own lame zombies. 'nuff said.

Eek MovieGirl, why would you even walk in to that movie? ;)

I'm not sure of the name, but it's the spy film directed by Tony Scott, starring Brad Pitt and Robert Redford. I was bamboozled by the big names and was inflicted with vertigo by all the MTV-style editing and Michael Bay scenes. I'm a big admirer of Tony Scott, but he seemed to have crossed-over to the dark side.

I suppose you hated Domino, the epitome of Scott's manic style!

Guy, I like you. I had similar problems with Wanted. It was a phallo-centric piece of donkey doo.

I saw ID 4 times in the theater and that scene is one of my favorites.

Let's see that scene again:

Ha ha. I wished that too. I'm always rooting for the aliens to destroy Earth. Go team!

I have only walked out of one movie in my lifetime and it was quite a while ago. I believe it had something to do with my age at that time (17 years) because I have watched it since and enjoyed it. Anyway, it was The Nightmare Before Christmas

Movies I walked out of (for one reason or another)

1408 - People were being really rowdy in the theater and after 10 minutes I decided there was just no way I was gonna get into it.

Phantom of the Opera - I even ditched my friends because they wanted to stay... This movie hurt my ears and was very annoying... The high pitched voices and general "loudness" was waaay too much for me. I don't think I like Andrew Lloyd Webber... And why do people in musicals have to Sing-Narrate every little thing they are doing as though you can't just watch them do it?

Adam & Steve - Just too stupid for words... and then I had to re-watch it on DVD with a friend who accused me of not giving it a fair shot... and by the end, he totally agreed with me and said "yeah... I don't know what I was thinking..."

Sideways - I desperately wanted to leave the theater but would have been stuck without a ride, so I stayed... but imagined myself elsewhere... Totally boring and pretentious.

Ghost Rider - Once again... I really wanted to leave but made the mistake of having car-pooled... This one was just... well... not a "thinking person's movie".
