What movies would you suggest as movies that promote Diversity? Definition of Diversity: The concept of diversity encompasses acceptance and respect. It means understanding that each individual is unique, and recognizing our individual differences. These can be along
the dimensions of race, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, socio-economic status, age, physical abilities, religious beliefs,
political beliefs, or other ideologies. It is the exploration
of these differences in a safe, positive, and nurturing environment.
It is about understanding each other and moving beyond
simple tolerance to embracing and celebrating the
rich dimensions of diversity contained within each individual.

Prom Queen is a good example. Great movie~!

This may be the lamest answer you will get, but I like Driving Miss Daisy.

FYI, if you feel something wet, just ignore it...that would be the XPers pelting me with monkey poo for admitting I like that movie.
I loved Riding Miss Daisy. But what does that have to do with diversity?
Babe is another example of a Diversity movie. Babe proved that being a pig didn't keep him/her (what was it besides a pig??) from just grovelling in the mud.

It's a Boy/Girl thing is another.

A day without a Mexican explores the US (California in particular) without hispanic help. (who would cut our lawns, serve our food, etc). Something to think about.

I absolutely LOOOOOOOOOVE Driving Miss Daisy.

What other movies have you seen that help us to understand one another??
My Bodyguard
Goonies
Explorers
The Sandlot
Pursuit of Happyness
Men of Honor
The Tuskegee Airmen
Kinky Boots
Birdcage
Flawless
Tootsie
Mrs Doubtfire
Mr Mom
Working Girl
Baby Boom
About a Boy
Lilies of the Field
To Sir With Love
Guess Who's Coming to Dinner
The Breakfast Club
Sixteen Candles
Running Brave
Mr Baseball
Gung Ho
Monsoon Wedding
Good Will Hunting
Jack
Some Kind of Wonderful
The Station Agent

All are good movies (I think) and about a wide range of diversities and their characters' quest to improve the human condition as they see it.
Guess Who's Coming to Dinner was ahead of time and really controversial (but brave) move for the time.

Nanny McPhee - wow - didn't think of it, but it does imply that beauty is more than skin deep and the impact of assumptions.

I'll have to check out Danny Deck Chair. I heard about it just days ago. Thanks for your input.
okay, I'll stop...........for now......
How about turning it all into a list on NF or here?
Does anyone know the title of the movie where a white guy gets a tan in order to win an African-American scholarship to Harvard? Mid 90's I think.
