A Netflix Community

Still a couple weeks away, and the buzz for this one is already off the charts. I've read on some sites and listened to some podcasts that are already touting best actor Oscar for Heath Ledger and even best picture and best director for Christopher Nolan, which would be fairly unheard of for a super hero flick. Some reports say Movietickets.com is already selling out some screenings in major markets.

It's currently at 100% on Rottentomatoes.com. Some critics there are proclaiming it the best superhero movie ever made and even the best crime drama ever made . DePalma, Scorcese, Michael Mann, and now... Nolan?

Regular tickets are showing up on ebay

yes, it does make a quite profound statement about the world's (and our country's) current situation.

Rotten Tomaties is now at 95%. The difference is made by a nastygram from a startlingly literate and insightful movie blogger, Keith Uhlich -- it's a great read, though full of disrespectful spoilers.

I have never found reviews that describe film making styles to be particularly helpful either way(although they did convince me not to see The Happening). I found myself confused only once and the confusion was resolved quickly.

OK, so I've heard everyone saying how great The Dark Knight is, but I have a question: Is it worth watching for someone who thought that Batman Begins just flat-out sucked?

I would fall into that category, and I remember everyone talking about how great that one was, too. Is the new one any different at all?

Thanks Brody - I guess now I can finally accept my friends' invitations to see the movie with them.

I saw DK before I saw BB. I thought DK was much better.
