What do you still want to see on the Netflix site? (Let's leave out the obvious few since we know about them and know how much you want them: >500 things in queue, 1/2 stars, mac-based instant watching, linux support, 7-day shipping, etc.)
I'm sure I'm a minority in this but I'd really like it if there was some way to opt out of the online streaming thing for a small discount ($1?). I'm on dialup so obviously that feature is entirely useless to me. It could be setup like the blu ray option.
I do love that the Netflix site is respectably fast on dialup. Far too many sites anymore have tons of little fancy and not so useful things that greatly increase load times (Ning widgets here for example); it's nice to have sites like Netflix that don't.
I know that *I* have brought this up before, but I'm going to put it here again: why aren't reviews automatically dated when they're written? Sometimes it makes a difference. Especially when there's been a lot of hype surrounding a movie initially, later, people's opinions may have mellowed out or be more neutral. I know we have the "Recent Reviews" on the first page, but that only dates a few.
Please, please, PLEASE write some code that prevents members from posting reviews until the movie release date.
Yes, I know that new releases sometimes are postponed, but if the code were based on the initial date given, then at least *some* of the nonreviews would be prevented.
Maybe the people who are in competetion to be the first to post on a new page, would go elsewhere for a while. Maybe.
In addition to all other objections, these early nonreviews get the most votes and are then called the most helpful. True helpful reviews of the disc often get buried.
Alphabetical listing of watch instantly queue. This would simplify things for me greatly. Just be able to hit a button and everything lists alphabetically, and if then if anything needs to be up front I'll assign it accordingly.
If you use Firefox with the Greasemonkey extension, there is a script that allows you to sort Netflix queues pretty much how you want it. There are also other scripts that may be useful for your use of Netflix, like small movie notes in the queue etc. It's pretty cool, imo.
