What movies should REALLY be remade?
With the latest trend being remakes, what does the audience feel would be a good movie to remake? Alot of you are going to laugh but I want to see "Red Dawn" get remade. Also I want to see James Cameron or someone with a good budget and creative mind do a remake or continuation of "The Thing" and keep Kurt Russell. That could be blaspheomy but I think it could be done.

The remake is not so bad. Kinda lacking in the sci-fi department but it makes up for by its inclusion of two of my favorite hotties, Ricky Schroder and Benjamin Bratt.

Or that could be blasphemy Matt! lmao!! A continuation but not a remake maybe since John Carpenter's The Thing is already a remake. Then it would be a remake of a remake! Yikes! I'll pass on that.

I have many ideas where it could go next..
Also a remake of "Day of the Triffids" would be cool..So would the "Andromeda Strain" and "Them!!"
I bet "Cat People" will be remade.

they're supposedly remaking the fly, which was already remade by cronenberg. and of course, there are two king kong remakes. so, not really out of the question, sadly.

Cronenberg recently directed an opera version of The Fly onstage in Los Angeles.

As much as I love the original as a classic of the noir genre, I've long wanted to see a high quality remake of Double Indemnity. Perhaps with Russell Crowe in the Fred MacMurray role. I'm still thinking about who could replace Barbara Stanwyck and Edward G. Robinson, though, but I doubt such a thing is actually possible.
