Hmm...Well, I was delighted that Snuff was finally available AND it was on instant viewing. After seeing it, however, I was not as impressed. It wasn't horrible, but there wasn't quite enough analysis for me. I enjoyed the short lived discussion of horror movies versus "snuff" movies.

I also just saw Waitress on HBO On Demand, which I enjoyed quite a bit. Cute and amusing. I haven't seen Firefly yet, but I'm a HUGE fan of Dr. Horrible's Sing Along Blog (own it via itunes) so it was quite awesome to see Captain Hammer (aka Nathon Fillion) in a completely different role.

Tonight: Touch of Evil and perhaps something else. Maybe Live Free or Die Hard? It's on HBO tonight. I'm looking forward to Entourage and the new Alan Ball series True Blood.
D'oh. I figured out how to edit.
Enjoy Touch of Evil.
The Return of the Pink Panther - I've only seen The Pink Panther, A Shot in the Dark and this one of the series. So far I liked A Shot in the Dark the best, but this also had some great moments.

Gone Baby Gone - I really enjoyed this, Casey Affleck did a fantastic job stepping up to the plate.

L'iceberg - I liked how sparse the dialog was, and the story still came across just as well without it. Available on Watch Instantly until the 18th I believe.

Next up - Barbarella
On the big screen, I caught a Rear Window/Vertigo double feature. On the much smaller screen, a doc called Crazy Love. Currently watching The Elephant Man.
You watched 2 of my 5 star faves. Love Mr. Hitchcock! What did you think of Crazy Love, I watched it a couple of months ago. Those two people deserve one another. You would have to be crazy to marry someone who would hurt you like he did.
I just finished watching Ingrid Berman's portrayal of Joan of Arc. Beautiful!
The Girl on the Bridge(French)=Finally came today after being on Long Wait for a long time. An unusual and otherworldy love story about a man who saves a girl from committing suicide by jumping off a bridge near the Eiffel Tower and then hires her to be his target as he is a circus knife thrower.
Separately, the pair suffer down on their luck misfortune but together they thrive and win a fortune gambling. This film defies characterization but is very enjoyable and is filmed in beautiful black and white, which fits the tone of the film perfectly. 5 stars. An interesting soundtrack that combines French,Gypsy music and a few American pop hits of the past. No Bonus Features.

Up next is Tom Dowd and the Language of Music. Some films coming next week include Love and Basketball and Visible Vote '08.
Yesterday I watched
Terence Fisher's The Stranglers of Bombay (1960)
Fisher & Hammer go to India and tackle the religious Cult of Kali... Not bad.
Nice B & W 'scope cinematography by Arthur Grant.
3 and 1/2 stars

Live Free or Die Hard / Die Hard 4 (2007) on HBO
I really enjoy this movie.
5 stars

The Who: At Kilburn 1977 (1977) on PBS
This is a really good concert film of The Who performing live
at the Gaumont State Theatre in Kilburn, North London in December 1977.
One of drummer Keith Moon's final performances.
5 stars
Deja Vu was much better than expected. The description didn't sound all that great so I kept putting it off. I'm glad I finally watched it. It was a surprising thriller that kept me on my toes.
I Loved Deja Vu, an awesome movie... It's even better the 2nd watch
I watched The Jets beat the Dolphins. which was good! Than I watched The Bills Beat the Seahawks. Which was bad! Than I watched the Patriots win but not cover! Which was bad.
Than I watched myself lose 4,400$ Which was very bad!!!!

MAN! I hate football. Ahh F it, let go with the Vikings and Broncos on Monday night.
Have to try and break even somehow!
