Watched Attack Of The Killer Tomatoes, it had lots of great moments, but there was also lots of wasted potential, I felt.
I keep watching this, over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over

That music sounds like someone put a microphone in a hamster cage. Get some WD-40 on your wheel, little hamster!
Monday night I watched Otar Iosseliani's Monday Morning / Lundi matin (2002)
I liked it...
It's an interesting foreign film to watch, but it deliberately rambles on
and it is very slow moving.
Great color cinematography of rural France and Venice, Italy by William Lubtchansky.
4 stars

Tuesday night I watched Tarsem Singh's The Fall (2006)
This film is jam-packed with breathtaking imagery and gorgeous cinematography.
The story reminded me of classic silent movie action & adventure narratives.
Definitely worth a look sometime.
4 1/2 stars
finally got around to watching Metropolis really great sets, and amazing effects for the time period. I've heard that they actually found a full film print of this recently, and they're working on restoring it and releasing the full film. I'll definitely go see it in theaters if I can.

It's true. In a library in Buenos Aires.
Yep. That's so cool when that happens. You know the story about Passion of Joan of Arc being found, I'm sure you do. When will the rest of the Magnificent Ambersons turn up? :)
Cool Hand Luke on Blu-ray. Michael Haneke's The Seventh Continent, Code Unknown, and 71 Fragments. Also, finally watched Fritz Lang's M (what in the Hell took me so long?!?) Chop Shop and Man Push Cart. Also Man Bites Dog, Evil, and The Last Winter. All in the past few days and reviews posted.
The Haneke films are from the Artificial Eye Collection and not the region 1 discs you can rent from NetFlix. The R1 Kino editions are terribe quality!
Also, finally watched Fritz Lang's M

A film with a one letter title? How ridiculous is that!
Last night:

Cannibal – 2 stars. Bad acting, bad lighting, bad camera angles, laughable dubbing. What was slaughtered in this DVD was one of the best true crime cannibal stories of all time. I can overlook artistic license with a true story but the changes made it less interesting and I actually thought it was so badly done I couldn't help laughing at some scenes. From ridiculous to

sublime – Bad Education – 5 stars but I wish I could give it more – Directed by Pedro Almodóvar (also wrote the screenplay) and staring Gael Garcia Bernal and Fele Martinez. This story grabbed my attention from the beginning and didn't let go. The story is intriguing and somewhat complicated as we watch a movie within a movie and stories told differently by the characters. I've been on a bad movie streak lately (my poor choices) so this was a real treat. As soon as it ended I watched it again with Almodovar's commentary on and it was just as good. I highly recommend this.

Tonight I have Man Bites Dog and it's nice to see you liked it Alex.
I'm off and it happens to be the middle of the week, so I decided to channel my inner Star Wars geek and watched all six movies chronologically... Starting from Episode 1 all the way through Return of the Jedi.

While I'm not a huge fan of Episodes 1 -3, they actually seemed to flow well into the 4th - 6th episode, though there was one major irregularity. (Maybe fellow Star Wars fans can help). Padme obviously dies immediately after giving birth to the twins (Luke and Leia) then in Episode 6 Leia is able to describe her mother...
Since Leia was given to Senator Bail Organa (Jimmy Smits). I assumed she was talking about his wife.
