Earlier today I saw Pete Seeger: The Power of Song=excellent documentary on folk music pioneer and political activist Pete Seeger and the far-reaching influence he's had on groups such as Peter, Paul and Mary etc. This biographical and music doc includes interviews with his family and other musicians. 4 to 41/2 stars.
Tonight I'm watching the cult favorite Danger: Diabolik. Recount, Love and Basketball and Jerry Lee Lewis: Last Man Standing Live are coming next.

The Illusionist with Ed Norton, Giamatti, & Jessica Beal. It was stylish, and fairly entertaining, but I thought most of the magic tricks and illusions were pretty over-the-top and you had to pretty much suspend your disbelief pretty far. Kind of fluffy, but ok. I also saw Bowfinger, and although not Steve Martin's best film, I did get a laugh or two.
I finished the last season of The Wire : ( no more Wire. Surfwise a documentary about a family w/ a very "strong willed" father. The father and mother decide to raise their 9 kids in a camper and drive around searching for the best waves to surf. It's pretty interesting because it shows what happens when a family lives "off the grid." I don;t want to say any more because I might spoil it for someone else. I'll just say that I liked it and am glad I watched it. Soylent Green A classic.
Honey West: The Complete Series (4-Disc Series) (1965)
I watched Disc One
This was a pretty good early 1960's TV show, back when TV was still in black & white and resembled late '50s / early '60s film noir.
Notable for having the first female television action hero,
detective Honey West (Anne Francis).
4 stars
L'Appartement / The Apartment (1996)
starring Vincent Cassel, Monica Bellucci & Romane Bohringer
This is a very nice-looking POS mess of a movie.
The WTF ending is all over the map.
I had hoped for something much better than this...You've been warned.
2 and 1/2 stars
I watched Kick'in It Old School @ 6:00am on the Stars Free Preview Weekend! Then a little Drake and Josh on Nickelodeon and The Princess Bride...

Today - Burn After Reading - 5+ stars - Great dark comedy as only the Coens do it. I want to see this at least once more on the big screen and own the dvd. If you liked the Big Lebowski and Raising Arizona you should like this.
I just finshed up season 3 of Prison Break and watched the three new episodes of season 4 online...It seems to me they are stretching it a little too far, but I still enjoy the show.
