Nosferatu the Vampyre was actually available on DVD for a while through Anchor Bay. I think it's still available but I could be wrong. Sometime Netflix seems to run out of certain title and mark them as unavailable even though they may still be available from retailers. You're right though, it's a great remake of the Murnau classic. If you like the film, you should check out the soundtrack by Popol Vuh. Powerful stuff.

The title I'm waiting for, which will probably never happen, is a French dysfunctional family drama with a lot twists - Olivier Olivier from 1992. Fortunately, I have a non-macrovision VHS tape of that title I recorded off of TV years ago, which I then subsequently converted to DVD format.

The Little Girl Who Lives Down The Lane

This movie is so creepy without being overt. There's no release date as of yet, though.

That movie is awesome!!!...I remember watching that constantly back in the day when HBO first came out and showed it every 3 hours lol. I read the book before I was the movie and though the book is better, the movie is a keeper.

Little Girl Who Lives Down The Lane has already been released - I rented it from Netflix 4 years ago according to my records. Must be out of stock at Netflix currently. It is currently listed at as Short Wait over on Blockbuster, and is readily available for purchase at Amazon.com.

Excellent! Thanks so much for that. I was going off of the Netflix blurb that release date was unknown.

They have it now, I am sending it back today.

A Matter of Life and Death (1946), aka Stairway to Heaven.

One of Powell & Pressburger's masterworks. And watching it on tv as a little girl gave me a lifelong appreciation for David Niven.

Of course, every day I run across something I wish I could see, that isn't available.

Looking for Mr Goodbar
The African Queen
Until The End Of The World
Song of the South (deemed racist but part of our history)

These are great films that need region 1 releases.
