Am I the only one that wants this on the Wii? The CEO says how great the Wii is selling and then says he wants to bring it to the PS3 and the 360. What is up with that? Please, bring this to the Wii!
Yes, support for the Wii would make sense considering the fact that it has outsold the 360 by more than 5 million units, but I wouldn't count on it. Netflix founder Reed Hastings is a member of Microsoft's board, so you take a wild guess which console will be the first (and probably only) to get support. My advice, build or buy an HTPC or wait for Blockbuster or some competing service to support the Wii.
I want it too. The Wii is one of the most prevalent platform available. The BBC iPlayer is on the Wii, I think Netflix is making a big mistake by not supporting the Wii, and supporting a less prolific platform like the XBox 360.
If there's anyone from Netflix reading this, I am a computer engineer who would be interested in getting it working. I read somewhere else that there is an SDK that you guys are trying to get to BluRay player manufacturers and others. I would like to try to get it running on the Wii.
I thought the market value of Wii was to get the gamers off their asses and doing some exercise. Putting Netflix on it would be a step backward for that particular product.
