Shows that only had one season or less, but should have lived on for years.
My pick would be Earth 2.
The story lines were well planned out and the characters were distinct.
I loved that it was not another Sci-Fi show that depended on
half-naked women and crazy space creatures that you only saw for one episode.
Brimstone was simply an amazing show. The chemistry between Peter Horton and John Glover was just amazing. Just seeing the two of them have a conversation was a real treat.
The Fifth Corner. Does anybody else remember this show? I think I saw two or three episodes and then it was never seen or heard from again.
Firefly- top of everyone's list, I would venture to say. An absolute travesty, what FOX did to it. The equivalent of assaulting and raping someone at work and then blaming them for not focusing on the task at hand. (a little over the top? perhaps...)
Jericho- I know it technically got a second season, but I still think it wasn't given its chance, even with the revival.
Wonderfalls
Space: Above and Beyond
Standoff
Drive (four, count em, FOUR episodes!)
The Black Donnellys- wouldn't have been such a slap in the face if it hadn't been replaced by "The Real Wedding Crashers"
Yeah -
Firefly
Farscape and Dresden (Scifi)
Bloodties (on lifetime - which i no longer watch)
Kidnapped (NBC)
What were these networks thinking. These shows had a serious future and worth watching. Real characters, interesting stories and not the usual formulas. Esp. Bloodties.
I have to add a real oldie but I loved She-Wolf of London! It ran on the Sci-Fi channel years ago and I've always wanted to see it again. They've yet to put it on dvd though. :(
Also have to second Earth 2. That show was awesome!
She-Wolf...GOD! I loved that show. I'll always remember the lead female character's first name...Randy. They made so much fun of the name there. I hope NF adds that to there movies to rent.

There was a good show several years ago with Richard Dean Anderson and Jon DeLancy called Legend...it was about this writer of western novels that get's stuck in a town where the residents believe the writer is the hero character from his book. There is an inventor that helps the writer keep the illusions as the town really needs the hero; the inventor creates all the gadgets for the writier....great show, only had one season.
I agree with a lot of the shows that have been mentioned. Many of them live on in reruns on SciFi, at least.
My vote, no surprise, would be Twin Peaks. Too bad they caved in to network pressure and revealed Laura's killer in the middle of season 2. Apparently Lynch didn't want to reveal the killer for a while. I'm just amazed and glad that the series was on at all. I loved the movie FWWM.
Twin Peaks, I used go to sneak out of my bed at night just to watch this while my mom was sleeping. I was in another country so we got all the series months )sometimes a year) later. Good call McCall.
