Shows that only had one season or less, but should have lived on for years.
My pick would be Earth 2.
The story lines were well planned out and the characters were distinct.
I loved that it was not another Sci-Fi show that depended on
half-naked women and crazy space creatures that you only saw for one episode.
Day Break - only supposed to be 13 episodes and they STILL killed it after 7!!
Nowhere Man - first year UPN started up, great show.
Journeyman - agree with this one, could have gone anywhere with this...
Goodbye, Firefly. We will never know what the Blue Sun Corp had to do ... with anything.
It does seem like all the good shows debut on Fox, and are quickly cancelled. I also liked Journeyman this year, and since it was on NBC, I thought I was safe.
There was a show a couple years back on NBC, but I can't remember the name. The plot line revolved around a group of friends who won the lottery and the changes and divisions that the winnings created. Was gone after a season, but I really enjoyed it. Someone help me with the name!! haha
Yes!! I was hoping someone would mention this. Blame the Bible Belt for getting him kicked off the air. The show was just way too ahead of it's time. He'd be perfect company for so many anti-hero's now, ie Dexter, and I absolutely loved it. So angry when they took this off the air. I now own the first season on DVD!
Well, Moonlight was just canceled. I havent gotten around to watching it yet but my best friend and her husband are huge fans. It had like 8 million viewers and only on it's 16th episode, so not sure why this dished it. I won't watch shows on Fox much because of the chance of canceling being too high without enough of a chance.
I really, really miss Scariest Places on Earth. Fox Family (I guess they are ABC Family) channel owns this. It was the one hosted by Linda Blair where they sent a team made up of family members into a supposedly haunted place, left them there overnight with all of these tasks to perform. It was hysterical! They haven't even put it on DVD because they play a few every Halloween as the 12 days of Halloween special. Similar was MTV's Fear that had a random group of their viewers do the same thing. Unfortunately it wasn't as fun since the people were usually young, annoying, and you missed the family dynamics. There was a celebrity version, too, that I think was on VH1. That was amusing for a few episodes where they had Gary Busey (as if he wasn't scary enough on his own) and one with Pikaboo Street (she was badarse).
yes, i remember these! i loved to see the people on fear get all emotional and quit the show.
i saw the one with busey, too. you wouldn't think that you would want to be paired up with him in those situations, considering his history, but i remember that he was always so calm and actually seemed to be one of the nicer celebrities on the show.
i used to think it was all a big scam - the film crew was making the noises and doctoring the film and the cast was probably having donuts out back between 'takes'.
