Shows that only had one season or less, but should have lived on for years.
My pick would be Earth 2.
The story lines were well planned out and the characters were distinct.
I loved that it was not another Sci-Fi show that depended on
half-naked women and crazy space creatures that you only saw for one episode.
I miss The Dresen Files ,FireFly and the series 'Kidnapped' Starring Tim Hutton. It was never given a chance 6 weeks and it was off the air.I heard it was due to the salaries ,Hutton, Dana Delany (big bucks).
THE PRISONER starring Patrick McGoohan is probably the most intelligent and thought provoking TV show ever produced. It's amazing something this good ever got the "green light" though it lasted only 17 episodes.
I gotta give a big thumbs up to Nikki for starting this thread with Earth 2. That poor woman gave up a recurring role on NYPD Blue to star in it and her show was just pushed aside.
Firefly is, of course, the other big one that is mentioned over and over. Fox is notorious for slaughtering intelligent TV. I'll put Arrested Development in this category, too.
The other one for me? Whoopi. That was laugh-out-loud-and-almost-wet-your-pants funny, but it had two huge strikes against it. First, it was put up against American Idol. Second, it came out in a political climate that was ultra-conservative. If that show had premeired in 2007, it would be a runaway hit.
