...is when I'm browsing through user reviews on NetFlix and see one star ratings for things like violence and profanity. Please people, especially all of you Christian fanatic boneheads, keep your religious beliefs to yourself. Some one gave Constantine a one star rating because they, "...didn't like the Satanic imagery." What were they expecting, exactly? Another person rated Gone Baby Gone one star for excessive profanity. It just seems a little bit ridiculous to me.

RE: "Another person rated Gone Baby Gone one star for excessive profanity."
I rated Gone Baby Gone 1 star because it was a terrible movie with bad acting and a predictable plot. In my review I mentioned that it had profanity. I don't think you are talking about my review which was buried deep in the back pages because so many people loved this movie. But just in case you did see mine I wanted you to know that my 1 star didn't have anything to do with the over abundance of the "f word". I just thought the movie sucked.
I do agree with you on people giving low ratings for movies because they want to censor certain types of movies. If you see reviews where someone clearly hasn't seen the movie and is writing on their negative opinion you can mark it "not a review".
It was a random review that popped up when I clicked the community tab. I don't have a problem if some one doesn't like a movie, we all have our own individual taste. Like you said, it's when people want to censor certain types of movies...for their own personal religious or moral beliefs, that is. It'd be like me rating and reviewing Passion of The Christ based on my personal belief that God and Jesus don't exist -- unfair and irrelevant in context to the movie. People just need to be a little more aware of what they're getting themselves into, rather than blaming the movie or actor or whoever else for their own sensitivity and/or confusion. Besides the fact that it's JUST A MOVIE.
Chawk, I think I just saw the Gone Baby Gone review that Danny's referring to (which was not yours), and the only thing talked about in the review was the profanity. I wanted to go in and mark it "not a review" but was too lazy. :-)
I wholeheartedly agree. It says right on the info page next to the rating the reason why it received that particular rating. For example "Rated R: For excessive language and gory violence, rape, and drug use". Then some idiot reviewer comes and gives it a 1 star rating because of those exact themes. If they don't want to see that stuff then why did they put the damn thing in their queue in the first place? It's just counterproductive and ignorant.
