Just wanted to let everyone know that if u accidently return one of your own movies to Netflix by mistake u can kiss it good-bye.They will give u credit but will not return your movie. They tell u that u can go onto amazon.com and buy another one. Meanwhile u are out your movie and they want their movie back. I am so furious with them because i have done business with them for approx. 5yrs and have been in very good standing with them and this is the thanks u get. I have closed my account and am now going with Blockbuster.Hope none of u have to deal with Netflix because u won't get anywhere.Any suggestions? thanks and good luck to all of u still with Netflix.
Are you sure BB is going to be any better? Seems kinda rash to jump ship after 5 years just because YOU made a mistake, netflix offered to fix it for you, and you don't like their solution...
They're offering you the refund for a new DVD, if your old one had any scratches or wear, you're ending up better already.
I'd take that in a heartbeat, since my brothers and sisters scratch up my discs :(
If it were an out of print movie I could see the problem, but whatever.
sorry but they did not offer to fix it for me. they told me that i could buy another movie. why would i do that when i already owned that movie?thanks for your input
i am upset with them because they will not return my movie that i owned and accidently returned in one of their sleeves. they still want their movie back but will not return my personal movie or one to replace it.
it's easy for you to find their movie because you have maybe dozens or hundreds on your shelf. It might be a bit more difficult for them to find yours on their shelf of millions. Besides, I'm not so sure I want them spending time (and company money) looking for your movie. It might slow them down in getting my next movie to me quickly
Again. They would need to return your EXACT copy of the DVD you sent and it would take too long to locate that exact copy. Otherwise, if I have a bad or scratched copy of some DVD, then all I would have to do is "accidently" return it to Netflix and, by your logic, they would send me back an unscratched copy. See the problem that could create? They are not in the business of swapping DVDs.
i dont see why they would have to return my Exact copy. I am not asking for my exact copy. i just wanted mine replaced. you can not tell me that they did not notice that there was a different movie in the sleeve i returned. i do understand what you are saying, but it is still upsetting.
Would you mind telling us what film it was? It wasn't the rare martial arts western Shanghai Joe starring Klaus Kinski and Chen Lee, was it? I'd chew rails and spit nails if that happened to me!
