Blade Runner or Raiders of the Lost Ark?

For me, it's Raiders -- I've never been a fan of either Darryl Hannah or Sean Young (Though Rutger Hauer almost makes up for them), so it's an easy choice. I saw Raiders at the drive-in, it has been in my top 5 ever since, and it's the only movie I've seen enough times to recite (even the Hovitos, yikes).

While I recognize the genius in both works, I'm not a huge fan of either of them. Not enough of a fan to pick one over the other.

They both fall into the category of important films, but films that aren't all that influential on me.

Now if you made me pick between Behind the Green Door or Porn of the Dead...

I didn't see Blade Runner until I was an adult, and I only did it to see what all the fuss was about. I still don't get it...I was bored out of mind. Permalink Reply by Aces on December 2, 2008 at 7:14am: I'm confused as to why you want to compare them. Blade Runner is a Sci Fi and Raiders is an Adventure. The stories aren't alike at all. I've seen both of them several times and I'd pick Blade Runner - the original. I missed the narration on the Final Cut version and would not watch that one again.
