A Netflix Community

I'd like to disable the instant watch feature. We find it's too easy for the kids (adults too, actually) to spend too much time in front of the screen. I would rather make our Netflix viewing not so "instant" but I don't see how to remove the feature. Note: I'm using the Mac beta version. Maybe it has some limitations at the moment?

I'm sorry .. i know that there is the famous saying " there is no such thing as a dumb question " ........ But come on ... This is one of the most retarded questions I've ever read on here. Given the reason for why they wanted it disabled.

Change your password, and create separate profiles for your kids. Profiles do not have access to Instant Watch, only primary accounts. At least that's what I've gathered from reading this Hacking Netflix article.

The biggest thing about this that gets me is SSD's reasoning as to why he wants it to be disabled. If he is worried that he and his family spend too much time watching movies then he really shouldn't have a netflix account should he?

Also, like a lot of people have said, it is very simple to put restrictions on your computer and if your kids have their own computers then they will be spending a lot of time in front of the screen anyway.

Jesus people... The OP asked a simple question that CAN be answered without sarcasm. He just wanted to know whether it's possible. And the answer is.... a simple "not at this point in time". Comments about parenting skills are completely unnecessary.

But what would be the fun in that? It's like a bleeding man jumping into an ocean full of hungry sharks and you want the sharks to just say, "Umm no thank you. Men are friends, not food." :-)

Well... you really think it's constructive when the second reply in the thread is already presuming to offer advice and judgement on how to govern your child's access to the computer? It's a little immature.
