A Netflix Community

Hello!

This may be a dumb question but I'm not sure I tried searching and I don't want to call support yet. What exactly does one need for HD Streaming?
I know right now it sounds like it's limited to Devices, I have one.
I obviously have a netflix account (which doesn't have a problem with its card anymore :D)

Do I also need to pay for HD rentals?

I don't think there is HD streaming.

I've been reading reports that with the 360 launch that HD Streaming was also started on a few select titles. I read in a thread here that Hereos was and that a few other movies were, I took a look at a list suggested in the netflix blog and picked a title that was supposed to be HD and wasn't.

Could be, first I had heard about it, but I only use it on the computer.

HD streaming has only been announced for Xbox 360. If you use an Xbox 360 for streaming, you can get HD streams provided you have sufficient Internet bandwidth.

I do have sufficient bandwidth I do have a 360. So I should just be able to select a title that should be in HD and that's it? No special markings on the video or when I start the stream on the 360? Do I need to have a HD account?

Just click play on your Xbox. If you're getting an HD stream, you'll see "Presented in HD" when the Xbox begins buffering.

Thanks, I tried Heros again and Started over and I saw presented in HD, I didn't try the other movie again.

I'd also like to note when Heros was being views a few weeks ago that the quality looked better than SD on the computer but I've got no way of confirming that. Also yeah I think the Watch It Now service is being hammered!

Notes to others:
I don't have a HD Rental account
I have an Older 360 without a HDMI port.
No problems in viewing, used Heros Season one episode one to test.
Download is 10Mbps
