Netflix service is declining

I joined Netflix when it first became popular years ago and I was very happy with the service. Now every time there is a new movie I want to see I am forced to wait a very long time for it to be shipped. I understand that because it is a new release the demand is high but when I go to my local Blockbuster they have it in-stock almost every time with plenty of extras to spare. Your search engine is terrible; when ever I click on new releases I get a very short list of movies that have already been out for weeks and longer; when I first joined Netflix your search engine was far superior than it is today. When I visit my local Blockbuster I see all kinds of new releases on their shelves that never show up on your site when I click new releases. I find myself bringing a pad and pen when I visit Blockbuster to right down names of movies I’m interested in so I can find them on your site which totally defeats the purpose of not needing to go to the video store in the first place. Your service is starting to not be worth it; I think I might switch to Blockbuster online and recommend to everyone I come across to do the same if your service does not improve soon.

I send back my discs Friday, put new releases at the top of my queue Sunday, NF ships me the new releases Monday, and they arrive on Tuesday. I repeat, it ain't that difficult.; ▶ Reply to This

Permalink Reply by I'm Not a Turnip on July 8, 2009 at 11:15am: Sometimes I forget to mail discs back on Friday (with the intention of getting the Tuesday new releases.) Four years of "always" mailing back on Mondays is a hard habit to break!

I've had great success mailing back one disc on Tues, one on Wed & the final disc on Thurs. 9 times out of 10, I get Tuesday new release later in the same week even though the title is listed as Long Wait or Very Long Wait.; ▶ Reply to This

Unless they love you like they do me. They didn't receive my returns until yesterday Tuesday but today I'm expecting to receive Push, Knowing and Taken. Life's good... let's just hope the movies are halfway decent. :-); ▶ Reply to This
