Prop 8 Political Ad

A few of you have complained - and rightfully so - about the "Yes on Prop 8" ad in some of your right hand columns. Just so you know, we don't control this. The ads are part of the faustian bargain we agreed to that let's us set up community here at ning for free, but ning gets to put google ads on our pages. We neither control nor profit from those ads. They are usually Gamefly or Blockbuster ads, but it looks like there are some obnoxious political ads going in these days. With luck they'll be gone tomorrow, and i will mention it to the powers that be at Ning that this was distasteful for people in our state. Anyway, I apologize that it was awkward for some of you.

Permalink Reply by macroman on November 4, 2008 at 1:38am: I see those Yes On Prop 8 yard signs everywhere where I live. Apparently, the Mormon Church is one of the groups pouring a large sum of money into this. The only No On 8 yard sign I've seen anywhere in my area is in my front yard.
