A Netflix Community

I'm going to ask a question that I'm sure has been asked and answered a million times, but I can't seem to find an answer anywhere.

Is there a way to sort the movies in your queue? I often feel like seeing a particular
genre of movie (comedy, documentary, etc.), especially with instant viewing. It seems like it would be a pretty simple thing for netflix to offer (just click on the "genre" title at the top of the queue list). The order could stay the same, they just wouldn't appear in chronological order. Does anybody know if sorting this way is possible, and if not, why?

Apparently there is no option for "comments or suggestions" on the netflix website, and its not listed in the FAQ

Hi Rachel: have you tried drag and drop?

Thanks so much, 2McAbre! Can't believe i missed the search section on the home page --dur. Even though it looks like netflix won't allow you to sort by genre (i still can't understand why this isn't a feature) there are a lot of other great solutions i can use. Thanks again!!

This is exactly what I want to know also. Why can we not sort and/or search our queues??

Your browser has a built-in search function that should be able to search your queue page just fine. It's usually Ctrl+F that brings it up.

For sorting the queue, if you use Firefox as browser with the Greasemonkey add-on, there's a script that let's you do just that.

If you use Firefox with Greasemonkey, there is a script available that will let you sort by different options.

Sort your Netflix queue by movie title, length, genre, average rating, star/suggested/user rating, availability, or playability. Includes options to shuffle/randomize or reverse your queue.
