Anyone else get cheesed about this or is it just me? People who post reviews about movies that haven't been released yet. I understand that most films are pre-screened but there are quite often reviews that say things like "I haven't seen this film yet, but the trailer looks great." or my favorite " I read the book and they'd better not screw this one up."
An example - there's a review up for Speed Racer that goes like this "I saw the trailer for this movie in the theatre when I went with some friends and saw Alvin and the Chipmunks. It looked really good. Can't wait for it to come out!"
I know there's an option to flag the review as "not a review" but seems to never work. I assume that it takes more than one person flagging to remove it, but anyone know just how many it takes to remove it?
Hey Folks, If you haven't joined the "Reviews that Aren't Reviews" group, you may want to check out what a great job Wowee is doing in getting an organized front for attacking these non-reviews.
I invite you to join the group and post your links to non-reviews in there. It's a one-stop-shop with links to all the Netflix non-reviews, plus we can see that our actions are actually helping get those non-reviews removed.
Lady and the Tramp: One "Gee they don't have the disc" (though it is now in stock) and four "the Bonus Disc is not clear enough, I was tricked into thinking the movie was on this disc too" (even though it says that's on another "companion" disc).
Trick answer: They are just not for the reasons they would think.
Seriously (since I consider myself independent and an equal opportunity kidder) I recently attended a thoroughly Republican event and as I approached the hall, I could smell the aftershave and perfume and lipstick so I said (in a foppish voice) "I -- smell -- Republica-a-ans --!"
Similar sentiment...what is wrong with this person, besides the horrible grammar?!
"Yay First review yo. so like ya its like pretty raw, and stuff so you should probly watch it. like its very violent and i really liked it. it made me want to kill people because it was so violent"
Ok, now I have a real gripe with this review, I just think it's an awful thing to say. I don't expect anything to be done but I have to post this review because I just can't get over someone saying something like this. To me it's appalling. I really do have to object when someone is wishing cancer upon me, this review is for the movie Sublime, directed by Tony Krantz. I just think that's a disgusting thing to wish upon anyone as there is plenty of people who have cancer, get cancer every single day. What kind of person would wish this upon other human beings over a movie? I just don't get the mindset.

I would rather get shot in the leg than watch the first 30 minutes of this movie again. Whoever writes that this is a good film should get cancer
