Anyone else get cheesed about this or is it just me? People who post reviews about movies that haven't been released yet. I understand that most films are pre-screened but there are quite often reviews that say things like "I haven't seen this film yet, but the trailer looks great." or my favorite " I read the book and they'd better not screw this one up."
An example - there's a review up for Speed Racer that goes like this "I saw the trailer for this movie in the theatre when I went with some friends and saw Alvin and the Chipmunks. It looked really good. Can't wait for it to come out!"
I know there's an option to flag the review as "not a review" but seems to never work. I assume that it takes more than one person flagging to remove it, but anyone know just how many it takes to remove it?
Hey Folks, If you haven't joined the "Reviews that Aren't Reviews" group, you may want to check out what a great job Wowee is doing in getting an organized front for attacking these non-reviews.
I invite you to join the group and post your links to non-reviews in there. It's a one-stop-shop with links to all the Netflix non-reviews, plus we can see that our actions are actually helping get those non-reviews removed.
sorry to derail, but that cast list contains a lot of people who could not possibly be on the show next season. not that plausability has ever stopped them before, but oh well, i'm just waiting for it to come back. it's the only still going tv show that i care about, really.
They prob'ly cookie-cutter it then edit/update it when they get to it. When I do my New DVD Releases list every week, I see Netflix making changes up to the Sunday, Monday, and even the same Tuesday of the DVDs' release. And of course sometimes errors remain -- hence (for example) the several nonreviews of a music disc I did not cite here that specify "There's no Duran Duran as mentioned on this disc" -- that eventually get corrected.
Just that one nonreview on her most recent page of reviews. (I've flagged all others previously as have some of you.) FYI I checked the movie page for one of her recent nonreviews and it does not appear on the movie page itself so flagging has worked in that instance (and we know in others).
How did this get so many helpful votes? Non review - Grey's Anatomy Season 4 - "Season 4 will probably be out in Sept. Seasons 2 & 3 came out in the Sept following the final. It's worth the wait because it gives you something to look forawrd too!"
\Look also for this one on the same page:
"Ah McDreamy.........and to think I put off watching this show for so long because it got panned on TV...if TV were always this good I'd still be watching it........thank goodness for Online DVD Mail Order Services like N-----x....where you can have it "
and
"The entire "Grey's Anatomy" series is great, especially without 18 minutes of commercials."
I've reported nonreviews here this week that had Helpful/Not Helpful votes in the 300s. It just depends on how long until a janitor (like us) comes across the spill of verbiage.
