Spoiler Alerts are taking over the community!!

I have been on Netflix a while about a year, though I have had to stop and start my subscription twice for personal reasons so my profile looks like I'm new. I love much Netflix but the reviews are falling into a terrible trend. Every page I look at is flooded with reviews flagged with *Spoiler* Alerts. It is sloppy annoying and usually they are wrong. WHAT is going on with that. Look at the top 7 reviews here:

I would never rent any of these cuz I could never read far enough to find a review that wasn't flagged. but none of these actually have spoilers. The Community Features are great but the community seems to be falling apart. There are another 100 pages that look like this and it is bad for everyone.

Someone needs to fix this!

"Spoiler Alert" means that someone has given away information that some viewers wouldn't want to know ahead of time. They are two different functions. I have seen helpful spoilers.

Permalink Reply by BuBBa on May 15, 2009 at 8:47am: it seems that most that were getting the spoilers have like me either gave up reviewing for reasons other then the spoilers also NF has made the votes count less in your ranking. So now it is how many people queue off your notes and your lists that counts the most in how high you rank. Yes they are still doing it but the spoiler taggers seemed to have moved on to people not active on this site. but I'm still seeing people getting hit just now it seems to be to knock other reviewers off the front page so either their review can get a higher placement or out of some kinda personal malice; ▶ Reply to This

Also, go through the threads and click on the links to the ~~reviews~~ & post that you've flagged it. If it's gone from the MMP (Main Movie Page) then reply to that ~~review~~ that's it's been removed.; ▶ Reply to This
