Saw it yesterday. I could sit here and type a very detailed synopsis and still not give anything away because you know exactly what's going to happen and who is going to die all the way through the movie. And it's extra long because they had to get every single disaster movie cliche in there.
Here's a spoiler. Morgan Freeman doesn't play the president.
Morgan Freeman already played the President in another disaster movie. Deep Impact. And I remember thinking at the time, out of all the unbeilievable things in the movie, and there are several, A black President was the most unbeilievable.
Cheryl is absolutely correct. The movie contains almost every disaster movie cliche you can think of, but that doesn't mean it's bad. Watch it for the impresses visuals, going to this movie hoping for something new and exciting will leave you disappointed.
I'll still wait for it to come out on DVD so I can watch it in High def at home and get that oh so wonderful nauseous feeling I get from to much CGI in hi def :D
