One of my '08 faves and a film that is overlooked by many: note, it is not a comedy but an exestential drama, IN BRUGES. Then check out CHOP SHOP and FLIGHT OF THE RED BALLOON. All are now on DVD. Enjoy:)

I also liked Stop-Loss.
Also, not a movie but the Best Documentary Winner, Taxi to the Dark Side.

04. Pride and Glory
05. Vicky Cristina Barcelona
06. Redbelt
07. Shotgun Stories

count another vote for in bruges.

if you're in to horror, try the ruins. it wasn't too shabby.

while very mainstream, iron man was very entertaining and would be a good one to watch with others.

also, a dexter marathon (or mini-marathon) might be fun with a friend.
