I decided it would be fun to have themes to which movies i would watch that week. I want to do a vampire theme week soon. Im new to vampire movies and would like some recomendations.
Interview with a vampire-i tried to watch it a few times but it bored me to death
ven helsing-not sure if it would be considered a vampire movie or not but i really enjoyed it.
Dont think i have ever seen any other vampire movies.
Blade and Underworld are good if you're looking for action; lots of shotting scenes in both, with Blade being the better of the two.
Also John Carpenters' Vampires was a vampire flick that I enjoyed.
Now if you're in the mood for a dumb funny Vampire film, check out; Dracula: Dead and Loving it with Leslie Nelson. Like most typical Nelson films, its pretty dumb, but pretty funny.
Oh yeah, and one of the all time greats, The Lost Boys.
if you really liked Van Helsing and Not Interview with a Vampire ... You probably wouldn't enjoy any made before 2000. Not a whole lot of cgi for you before that
its not all about cgi for me. I have a lot of old movies in my personal collection. Im talking about way back to the 1950s and black and white stuff. I just didnt care for interview with a vampire. Maybe its cause i dislike tom cruise or something. I was just bored with the movie. I guess it was also maybe cause it was such a long movie. Im not totally sure. Maybe i should give it another chance since its been years since i watched it.
Everyone here has great listings. I started brainstorming about the transition of the image of blood suckers from the gothic lore to the 30 Days of Night. And I would also have to add the Descent based on the fact that creatures had evolved into bat-like people and lived in the deep caves, blind and all. Almost like Vampire Bat people..lol Anyway Spins take on the 30 days just resembled The Descents creatures. So could that be classified as a vampire movie?
