Thanks! Yea I've seen a few. But I wasn't sure if there were some better than others. Pirates The Curse of the Black Pearl looked AMAZING! I ordered the other two on Netflix. I own them on DVD, but the difference was unreal!
The only thing I got on Blu Ray that DIDN'T look good was "Season 1 - Weeds" - And it looked good until it would go to a dark scene, and it got pretty grainy. And I've got a 60inch Sony Bravia 1080p hdtv, and everything looks beautiful on it, so it was definitely the show.
Other than that, I can't wait to see more on it! It's spoiling me!
Thanks for your time and for your suggestions! I appreciate it!
Why Google when you can just click on the word Dinosaur in Turnip's response? :-)
And FYI, if you are going to "Google" a movie, you'd be better off going straight to IMDB.com. Impressive website dealing with all things movies or TV related.
Another great web site that I use for Blu-ray news and reviews is www.Blu-ray.com. Some of their reviews go into quite a bit of detail regarding the grain issue.
Even oldies look good. If you like the Duke you have to watch the Blu-ray version of The Searchers.
You can not believe what Monument Valley will look like on your 60" Sony.
The Fall was stunning in standard definition so I would suggest it. One of my most favorite movies was released in Blu-ray recently, Baron Munchausen. It is another very visual movie.
