I just got a Blu Ray player and I'm wondering what movies look really good on it? I've seen Pirates 1 on it, Enchanted, Wall.E, and Tinkerbell...

Does anyone have any suggestions?

Thanks!!

Everything looks good on Blu-ray. Even all the super hero movies that were released this year.

There is a movie called Casablanca that is coming out on Tuesday in the Blu-ray format. You may want to give it a try.

Thanks! Yea I've seen a few. But I wasn't sure if there were some better than others. Pirates The Curse of the Black Pearl looked AMAZING! I ordered the other two on Netflix. I own them on DVD, but the difference was unreal!

The only thing I got on Blu Ray that DIDN'T look good was "Season 1 - Weeds" - And it looked good until it would go to a dark scene, and it got pretty grainy. And I've got a 60inch Sony Bravia 1080p hdtv, and everything looks beautiful on it, so it was definitely the show.

Other than that, I can't wait to see more on it! It's spoiling me!

Thanks for your time and for your suggestions! I appreciate it!

Hi! Thanks for the reply!

So "Dinosaur"? I'm sorry, I've never even heard of that. What is it? I tried googling it as a movie, but I couldn't find anything.

Thanks so much!

Why Google when you can just click on the word Dinosaur in Turnip's response? :-)

And FYI, if you are going to "Google" a movie, you'd be better off going straight to IMDB.com. Impressive website dealing with all things movies or TV related.

Another great web site that I use for Blu-ray news and reviews is www.Blu-ray.com. Some of their reviews go into quite a bit of detail regarding the grain issue.

Even oldies look good. If you like the Duke you have to watch the Blu-ray version of The Searchers.

You can not believe what Monument Valley will look like on your 60" Sony.

Even the King looks good in Viva Las Vegas.

All the new release BD movies are great, B movies don't make it to Bluray yet, thank God.

The Prestige and Narnia are my favorite

The Fall was stunning in standard definition so I would suggest it. One of my most favorite movies was released in Blu-ray recently, Baron Munchausen. It is another very visual movie.
