That was definitely the best part of the movie. I didn't like the rest of it, but that scene was good.
Hahaha, I totally didn't know that was Matt Damon. I read he made a cameo after I watched it, but I never put two and two together. Haha. That's great.
The last movies I watched were a French film based-on-fact called Murderous Maids about France's infamous Pappin sisters who murdered their employer. It was excellent! And I also watched The Cool Surface with Terri Hatcher which I thought was pretty decent for a B type of movie.
I watched a great double feature. First, Moby Dick then Octopussy. Two movies that just seem to (Whats the word i'm looking for) FIT. Thats it, fit together.
I watched the movie Fulltime Killer, a Johnny To entry in the Hong Kong shoot-em-up genre. Not bad.
I'm fifteen minutes into The Fall and it's beautiful. Can't wait to return to it tonight.
The Mrs. and I watched Fracture last night. While I enjoyed the film and the performance by Anthony Hopkins and honestly Ryan Gosling held his own against Hopkins, the movie fell flat in the final act. I had it all figured out by the conclusion of the second act so it just kind lost it's steam and my interest. Not a bad film and definitely worth a rental. *** stars on Netflix ***1/2 stars here for good tension and another wonderful bad guy you hate to love in Hopkins (he echos Hannibal Lecter a bit too much but it's devilishly good).

Up Next:
WALL-E which I'm really looking forward too.
Deep Jaws/The Dicktator: Double Feature from Something Weird Video.

And the Mrs. has A Woman is a Woman which I know nothing about but the synopsis did say stripper in it so I'm sold.
I liked Fracture also. My main problem was with Jennifer Crawford who played Hopkins' wife. I felt zero sympathy for her so when she was killed I was like "Meh." Kinda make me root for him getting away with it. Gosling was great as usual.

WALL-E is another must buy for me. I swear my kids' movie library is bigger than my own.

P.S. This may be apropos of nothing, but my daughter does the BEST WALL-E voice. Seriously.
I said that to my wife last night too, I was like, I hope he gets away with it, she was having an affair. My wife said, just because she was having an affair is no reason to shoot someone in the face... that makes me wonder....?
A couple I've seen recently:

The Celebration (1998) - Wow! I really have to recommend this one. It follows a family as they gather to celebrate the patriarch's 60th birthday, but makes a hard right turn when the first toast is made.

They Live (1988) - Rowdy Roddy Piper's famous line as well as over the top action made this a fun movie to watch. I'm kind of surprised that I never saw it before now.

What Price Glory (1952) WWI movie... wait, shouldn't that be WWII... hrmm, a movie actually based in another war, what's this world coming to? Sorry, just kind of refreshing since I see so many wwii movies. Anyway, this wasn't John Ford's best flick, but still worth watching just to see James Cagney eating up some of the scenery.

Next up - Wall-E (I hope) and Back to the Future Part II.
I couldn't wait - I saw Wall E at the theater and it was grrr8!
Our Sons

An early 90s made for TV movie made slightly better than most of its kind because of its cast--Julie Andrews, Ann-Margret, Tony Roberts, Hugh Grant. Hugh's boyfriend is dying of AIDS and Julie has to go to Arkansas from LA to convince Zeljko Ivanek's mother, Ann-Margret to say goodbye to her son that she's disowned. Grant (who I normally consider a lightweight) did an excellent American Son of an English Mother accent--mostly standard US with an occasional slide into Brit.
