The two last movies I saw were at the movies

The Day the Earth Stood Still - Yes, yes, I know ... what the heck was I thinking going to this? But I don't really mind Keanu that much and I don't even really mind remakes (usually). So if it's a sci-fi movie, I try to give it a chance but this movie was such a piece of crap! Seriously, terrible in pretty much every way. There wasn't even any good CGI things that go boom to distract me from the horrible acting and ridiculous story! Boo!

Nothing Like The Holidays - Wasn't really expecting much, I took my mom to see this cause she likes these kinds of movies. It was allright. Pretty much exactly like any other movie where families come together for the holidays and drama ensues. Well, this one had a Latino cast including the yummy Jay Hernandez but otherwise it was same old same old.
Just curious, have you seen the original The Day the Earth Stood Still?
sp, you are very right about 'the day the earth stood still'. it was really bad. the best thing about it was the trailers. it went down hill after that.
Death Machine - 2/5 I guess it wasn't as bad as it could have been, but you have to expect some pretty cheesy moments/effects. :) Brad Dourif (Wormtongue in Lord of the Rings) was the best part, playing a psycho which he does well. You also get to see Rachel Weisz for about five seconds.

Next up - Confessions of a Dangerous Mind, Snakes on a Plane, and Tropa de Elite
I watched Duck Soup (Marx Brothers), and Devil In A Blue Dress, with Denzel. I also watched a Watch Instantly documentary on Hunter S Thompson called Buy The Ticket, Take The Ride which was pretty weak.

I've seen Devil in a Blue Dress several times - there's just something about that movie that I really love. Don Cheadle's character (Mouse) is so cool. Love the scene where he's drunk and pulls that gun on Denzel...great stuff...

Of course, Duck Soup never gets old either. "I can see it now: you in the kitchen, leaning over a hot stove... but I can't see the stove."

Crap, how can I forget? I also watched Hard Candy for the first time yesterday. Holy crap. Ellen Page was amazing.
Lol, Hard Candy IS amazing!

I also watched Buy The Ticket Take The Ride today, it did leave a little something left to be desired. Huge help...take Busey out!
Hard Candy= best movie ever!
Priceless - The French version of the generic romantic comedy. I probably should have known better, but the girl on the cover was just so pretty... It was alright, but nothing to get excited about. 3 stars.

Shopgirl - If you've ever felt like you needed a good reason to dislike Steve Martin, here it is. Horrifying. 2 stars.

Zombie Strippers - Bad on just so many levels. This gets my vote as the worst movie of the year. I don't even want to talk about it. I feel violated... 1 star.

Up next -probably something lame.
Dude....zombie fellatio?

No love for the zombie fellatio?
Nope. Even the much-ballyhooed vaginally-propelled ping-pong ball scene fell completely flat for me...

I take it you liked it though?
It was a flat 3 stars. I just liked the idea that someone paid someone else to film such a ridiculous premise. Cheap cheesy thrills.

Next up: some Werner Fassbinder
The last film I saw in the theater was Tell No One and the dvd I was planning on watching tonight is Boy A.
