Federico Fellini's 8 1/2 / Otto e Mezzo (1963) 5 stars
Mrs. C: Honey, what movie did you get us for Saturday night?
Mr. C: L.A. Confidential (1997) dear.
Mrs. C: Oh Not," Another," crime picture!

Later that Saturday night=

Mr. C: Well ,how was it dear ?
Mrs. C: That was a really good movie!!
Mr. C: But I thought you didn't like crime pictures anymore?
Mrs. C: I never said that! You just don't listen to me.......
My score B+
So what's new?

Remember in It's a Gift when W.C. Fields is in one of the twin beds, his wife in the other, and he's in an agony of desperation to get some sleep? That scene -- up to where his old lady tells him, "Now you change it!" -- is my whole case against marriage.
It is soooo funny to hear the male/female viewpoints Mr. C!!! I bet your wife remembers the conversation differently. Sev, are you saying after all this time we've known each other you won't ever marry me???
I always marry my wimmin. What kinda asshole do you think I am???
I always marry my wimmin
Your in Calf. right??, not Utah.
Your in Calf. right??, not Utah.
Now that's funny!!!
I'll probably pay for it,, hopefully sooner rather than later
Already married, Mr. C? You are paying for it.
I found both seasons 1 & 2 of Spaced on HULU.com and watched them for the second time. It's a great Simon Pegg TV show that deserved more than 2 seasons.
Death Note (all 37 episodes) is also on HULU.com. It doesn't look as good there as the DVDs do though.

On Netflix instant watch:
The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari - 5 stars - Really good silent horror movie. I liked the story but the fifth star is for the surreal sets.
Death and the Maiden - 4 stars - A Roman Polanski suspense staring Sigourney Weaver, Ben Kingsley & Stuart Wilson.
Hatchet for the Honeymoon - 3 stars - Fun 80's horror movie.
Fido. A charming zombie comedy, set in a 1950's world taken straight out of the advertising of the age. Dad goes to work, mom stays happily at home and takes care of the kids, home and so on. Except they have zombies as well. Delightful and playful, this still has a little gore and is more a spoof of the 1950's and the commie scare than it is a zombie horror movie. Good fun.
It's definitely a nice twist on the genre. Awesome movie!
