Everyone's picks are spot-on, but my favorite has GOT to be Victor Meldrew from "One Foot in the Grave". Though I wouldn't want to hang out with the old bugger, he's a hoot to watch.

It has to be Ray Stokes from 'Extras' it' an HBO show by Ricky Gervais and Stephen Merchant. The funniest series I've EVER seen!!

Well like everyone else, that is a very difficult one to answer, but if I had to pick the person I have laughed at the most it would be Hyacinth Bucket aka BOUQUET lol. I have been trying to download all I can manage of the Jam and Jerusalem series too, it is a new series with French and Saunders, very well put together.

Edina and Patsy for SURE! I like Basil too.

Edina and Patsy are the AbFab gals, Jennifer Saunders and Joanna Lumley. I enjoyed that series, but the earlier episodes are far superior to the later ones.

Since you love Basil Fawlty, how do you feel about Victor Meldrew in One Foot in the Grave. He's my favorite, and has a character very similar to Basil.

I love One foot in the Grave. Victor Meldrew is a excellent pick. Your right the early ABfab is far superior to the later seasons.

Bernard Black is my favorite character. And I just noticed that my favorite British comedy - Black Books - is available to watch on HULU.com - all 3 seasons. Of course Netflix has this on DVDs too but if you can't wait to see it check out HULU.com. Green Wing is on HULU.com too and since it hasn't been released on DVD for the U.S. that's the only way to see it. It would be good for NF to get it streaming.
