I'm sorry to be nitpicking, but would English-language, non-US movies count as foreign? Lars von Trier's Dogville, for instance, is in English (w. Hollywood actors), but the crew is foreign and it was recorded in Sweden. Netflix lists it as Independent. I'm just wondering what exactly defines foreign.
I've given some thought to this. Wikipedia definition:
A foreign film is a film from a foreign country. Inside the US, Canada and the UK the term mostly applies to films made, in a language other than English.
