A few movies that I have oddly put off watching...
"Nine Dead Gay Guys". Very funny. Glad that I moved it to the top my queue. One that I might not rec to my straight friends. Just because there is quiet a number of insider jokes. Four Stars.
"Far From Heaven" - I know I'm embarrassed that I put of watching this movie. Juliana Moore and Todd Haynes should have been an instant watch for me. I loved the filming and a number of elements of the movie. However, I'm going to be unpopular here and say that I didn't really like the movie. 3 to 4 stars.
Nope wrong show. I'm not sure what show you are talking about sounds interesting however. I know that there was a made for TV documentary about transsexuals that I wanted to watch but what your talking about sounds more game show. Hum... could be interesting. If you find the name let me know.
Really? I have "The Bubble" in my queue. I was going to move it up but perhaps I will hold off.
"Far From Heaven" is a great movie and really deserves more then my low ranking. Don't ask me why I'm being such a cow... must be National Dairy week... : P
Most everybody likes The Bubble, but really I thought the ending was really uncharacteristic and out of nowhere. Overall it was just ok. Some funny parts.
I'm tend to be picky and sometimes I rate a movie and I know I'm not being objective at ALL. Then again... I don't work for the NY Times so sometimes I just rate a movie purely on like and dislike not merit or quality.
That is also why I sometimes go back and re-rate movies.
Itty Bitty Titty Committee. Really like this movie. Radical lesbains. Lots of star cameos. Washington Monument with an extra phallic embellishment... well it just worked. Even with the 'innocent girl' becoming 'aware' story line. Still four stars
Ack! Which brings me to "High Art" this one completely got lost in my queue. This is pretty much a "must see" film that others have raved about. Four stars.
