Are your reviews getting thrashed?
I've just read that Eviltimes has been getting thousands of not helpful votes lately. Mine has been hit with over 2,000 not helpful clicks that increases one per day per review. I know that dinging an account with not helpful is not new, but to organize attacks to such extent?!
Is this happening to anyone else? If so, this is the thread to get some tips on what to do. Feel free to share some tips too.
The way I see it one can either:
1.) Continue reviewing (they want to punish you and by stopping they will get a "victory)
2.) stop reviewing
3.) go private
4.) ????? Feel free to make suggestions

Going private will not help. (see pm).
Just say fuck 'em and keep writing reviews. Be sure to save your reviews someplace like Word. Then when you feel you've been abused too much (your review has been pushed to the back of the line, or for whatever reason), just delete it. Wait 2 days and repost it. All their hard work at giving you not helpfuls will be gone. Poof! All for nothing. And they will be that many clicks closer to a Carpal Tunnel surgery (which I have had, and it sucks). Ahhh. Pain, rehab and medical expenses. Lost time at work. Inability to amuse ones self - so much for internet porn! And they will never play a musical instrument again. Or a mouse type game, or a controller type game, etc.

Yep. I have one hater who goes through and not helpfuls all of my reviews every other week or so. He/she is still there, but lately, I've been getting certain other reviews attacked. Like 10-15 not helpfuls on the same review practically overnight. Whatever. It takes a lot of hate to be that dedicated. I say fuck 'em.

Lately the groups have formed, After April 9th when the cheaters group was zapped. There are at least 2, and probably more.

As you know, the "cheaters group" was an invention of The Colonel's to go after the do-gooders who spent all their time helping each other, not attacking the rest of us. The cheaters group was disbanded because there were a couple goody-two-shoe types who made their way in to see what was happening. Word got out that Phatz and others were being attacked by the membership for having "too many helpfuls". Sour grapes, anyone?
The Cheaters Group even had a list of who they thought needed to be attacked and brought down a peg or two. I kept the list and have been quietly monitoring those people's pages ever since. Think of me as their Angelic Protector. A lot of them are still getting dinged on a regular basis and two of them have quit writing completely - and for no reason other than they appear to have a lot of friends and earn a lot of helpfuls from being genuinely nice people. Some of them write really well too, but for some reason The Colonel and his ilk never seem to take that into account. Wonder why?
Funny thing, pterosaur, but they (the writers on the target list) get 10-15 not helpfuls too. So I doubt if any of them are doing it to themselves. Look around, people. The calls are coming from inside the house.
There's really only one cheater around here, and he has 3 accounts and loves to attach in groups of 15.

Ah yes, true enough, but having been inside the group myself and having had a looksy, I know what they were up to. I also know who they went after and who they would have gone after had Droid not shut them down. I have the list and I remember the confessions a few of them made about who they had already hit. Two in particular come to mind but I know that there were others. I remember reading the lengthy "review of the reviewers" where some twit named Power rambled on about each candidate's writing techniques and how worthy each one was for his or her position in the rankings at that time. Funny stuff. Too bad Power's own reviews weren't as entertaining as his musings about other people's work.
You seem to know a lot about the group yourself Larry. I don't remember seeing you there. Et tu, Maximus?

Oh and if you don't think it's odd that every single review someone writes gets overwhelming helpfuls that push it to the top of the page... well, you're kidding yourself.
We just have a difference of opinion. That is cheating to me. Perhaps you can use some angel power to right the situation....

As for cheating: It's funny to me that you define cheating as whatever you think it should be. I think that since NetFlix runs the site, then NetFlix gets to make the rules. Call me old fashion, but you don't get to yell 'cheater' at anyone who uses a different strategy than you do. I think the same goes for those who cry foul over New Release lists and adult lists. NetFlix hasn't said it's cheating, so it's not. Screaming it from the rooftops doesn't make it true.
