n00b here - reviewer rank ?
I searched through here and I may have over looked it... but what exactly determines the rank and if its multiple things... what percentages do the multiple thing weigh in determining the rank?
I started out in the millions, and slowly climbed my way up in the top 20,000 but not sure how i accomplished this

Kristen the answer that you just got from Beeswax is dead on the money--the only thing (he mentioned) but I don't think he put enough emphasis on is..the importance of lists..having lots of lists is not the issue either. It is having lists that people actually use. Which means the people must actually put things into their Q from your lists and then actually have the items shipped. So just in case I don't miss the meaning here...the clue is useable lists. There is a grouping under the friends grouping that is for top lists--one of those (on the left hand side) is most popular lists. If you ever get onto that "most popular list" listings---your RR will skyrocket! Believe me!! I should also mention that if you do take a look at these "most popular lists" there are some obvious threads that run between most of them. Most of the time it is new stuff coming out and I as much as I hate to say it--sometimes it is the sex thing (which we all know sells--LOL)
Your ability to inflence people in other ways is also important (but less so than useable lists). Therefore as he mentions, friends and good reviews on lesser known movies are also key.
But my favorite piece of advice that he so well states is....don't care so much about your actual reviewer rank...and my insert to that would be...because it is your ability to actually help others that should be your primary motivator!

That really is my only goal. To send and receive notes ( recommend good fly under the radar movies and receive good recommendations ), and be influential and helpful to fellow movies lovers. That really is wheere I get my thrill, being able to share and be contributory to my peers. I get to watch many enjoyable movies that way. I must be being very influential because 2 months ago, my RR was 88,000 and now its 297. I can only attribut that to me recommending notes, writing reviews, and people adding movies to their queue from my pages.
