Could John Locke be 'reborn' on the Island like Christian Shepard? 3 Replies

If the Island can bring back Jack's Dad from the dead, could John Locke's body once returned be brought back? Maybe Christian is just a manifestation of the Island and not really the same person?

So, I think that Charlotte is Annie. You know, the little girl that Ben used to like when Dharma was still around. I think that she left the Island and is now coming back. When the purge happened s...

There is no doubt about it! I believe they change the actors' eye color from blue to green to relay meaning. Last night young John Locke starts out with solidly BLUE eyes. After his 50s encounter ...

Another probably should wait to see how it turns out type of comment, but... I was just stunned by the the last disc, Season 3, disc 5. Seems like a lot of the characters changed dramatically and it took a big leap of faith for me to keep believing their actions. First there was Sun. How STOOOPID could she be. I mean I know she was all concerned about her baby and all, but how could she just suspend her suspicions and fear just like that? And then be so stooopid as to allow that "other" to be alone in the hatch. Geez! I thought the child had SOME sense. Her actions just didn't hold true to her character, I thought. And then there was Locke. I loved his infiltration actions and demanding accountability from Ben, but could he be so stoopid as to trust this man and allow Ben to get the best of him? And how could Kate be so stoopid and also talk in front of the other with important information. Have they all lost their minds? Ben's backstory was interesting as was the connection between Lock's father and Sawyer, but why didn't the others at the camp protest when the Russian was being beaten by Locke? And then there is Jack's secret with that other (the same one that was involved with Sun. I can't remember her name) and how cozy they've become. Can't he see how this must look to others in his camp, his former friends, etc. Just seems so out of character for him, even when he reveals that this woman IS "one of them," working undercover or some crap. I have liked the mystery of the show so far, but it seems as if the "solutions" are a bit contrived. And the characters are becoming different people, which is NOT in my opinion a good thing. On the other hand, the show seems to really be about trust and mis-trust, about who you can rely on and why. This seems to be a theme in all the storylines. "Can I trust you" pitted against "You don't know my secret." And the Jacob factor? Puleeezzzz!!!

One of the most brilliant things about the show are the number of characters and story lines. While I am interested in finding out about Dharma and whether that has anything to do with Ben and his people, I am not finding the capture of Sawyer, Jack and Kate so engaging. It's a bit violent for my tastes. I don't enjoy seeing people tortured. But I am loving Locke's and Mr. Echo's tales. I just finished disc 1 of the 3rd season, so I'm "praying" that Mr. Echo is not dead, although with the doctor "away" the prospects don't look so good. I'm also quite intrigued by Desmond and his "powers."

I'm kinda bummed. I'd set aside time to watch more lost and Disc 7 of season 2 is ONLY bonus material. AGH! My fault, I know, for not reading through the details of each disc, but it didn't STATE "bonus material" like season 1's last disc did. I am still really hating on Michael right now. Yeah, I know he was just a desparate father, but still...

Just wait until you meet the Others in Season 3

Ben the Others' leader makes the show!

I just want to scream! AAAAAAAAAGGGGGGGHHHHHH. I cannot believe Michael! Don't know what is up with that man, but I was so upset with his latest actions, and after he just came back. Did he turn into one of them? Feel so sad for Hurley, and of course, Libby and Anna Lucia, but Hurley has my heart. See, I'm actually learning the character's names now. I'm so proud of myself. Ha! Well, some of them. Love Mr. Echo and his mission, loved when he told Bernard, "People get saved in many ways." Ha! Classic! But Hurley is still my absolute favorite because he is so funny, even when he is not trying to be. I just saw the last show on Season 2, Disc 5, and am so saddened by what happened. Just goes to show you that when guns enter any equation, somebody usually ends up getting shot and usually the innocent, like Shannon before... Geez! Up until this episode I was loving the show, all the back stories, etc. And I guess I am still intrigued, just don't like the violence, especially when it seems so senseless. Maybe Michael has been brainwashed and doesn't know it? Came back with a mission to kill certain folks. I mean seems to me Anna Lucia story arc was as we used to say "cruising for a bruising" anyway. I'll have to calm myself down now before I can watch more, but I will get back to it.

Okay, so I'm into Season 2 and am back to being fascinated again. Loved the "new crew" and the episode called "Collision." I've moved the next disc to the top of my queue. Ha!

Thanks, Evil H. I have seen more episodes, so I do understand better. I could see if that Jack was tired, exhausted, angry, etc. because of what he'd just gone through. But the story is taking a new take, with a break in Jack and John's relationship which seems to be mostly ego-driven to me. But seems their tension is what the next arc of the show will revolve around. I hope there are other things that will continue to interest me. I'm not so interested in seeing these two battle to be "top dog."

Okay, I am not real sure how this works and I don't want to spoil it for others, but I want to talk about Jack. This is from 1st season, disc 5. STOP NOW IF YOU HAVEN'T SEEN IT! Okay. At the end of this show, Jack tells Kate that John is a murderer? Seems terribly out of characters for him to make such a big assumption like that. I know he was stressed, etc., but come on? Even if he did think this, seems he would wait for more info. I mean as fantastical as the series is, character development seems to be the strength of the show, so when you have a major character go totally out of characters... but maybe it will be explained later. It just kind of blew me away to here him say that, even given what he'd just been through. Arrrrgggghhhh!

Yeah, Hurley. And I just watched the one with his back story. I did love it! And I especially loved the way it ended with the former drug addict's anger. He also brings a lot of humor which is one aspect of the show that I do love.
