Hi Guys!
I've been away for a while and just wanted to stop by and see how things were going on my fave NetFlix Group! BTW Chaos...I saw the episode on The Navajo Nation and was sickened. I am greatful to Morgan Spurlock for going there and shedding light on how we are continuing to make huge mistakes when it comes to the welfare of one of our most valuable "natural resources". The tribe wasn't important enough so they re-routed their water supply for swimming pools! This made a once flourishing and independent tribe completely dependent on the government. All is not lost though, they are fighting for their water rights and the struggle will continue. Morgan seemed deeply affected by the plight he witnessed and reports that he continues to rise with the sun and give thanks for the new day. Have a great day all!

Check out this 30 Days episode called Life on an Indian Reservation
Morgan Spurlock will leave America as he knows it, without ever actually leaving US soil, to live with a people who many see as refugees in their own country, when he heads west...

You can see this free at HULU.com. Spurlock spends 30 days at the Navajo Nation rez. I didn't realize that the people don't have the right to the water on their own land.

I also have a list, most of them I've seen, but not all. It is hard to compile a list when Native American isn't a category for movies, but I think I got most of them.

Hi All,
Danny, you are completely correct that we all still fall short in our humanity and compassion towards NA people and NA culture as a whole. By supporting the films and documentaries we can not only grow spiritually and culturally, we also bring NA issues into the general publics view.
Yes, Eric was excellent in Big Eden. BTW, CHawk, I am pretty sure you can watch it instantly on NF.
Peace

Hi Eric, Thanks for mentioning Big Eden. It's one I'll watch and I agree with your feelings.

Eric Scweige in Big Eden is great. Well at least in the movie he was!

Hi Kristi,
I'm addicted to the spiritual draw and NA history in general. The more in films and documentary I see, the better educated I become and it just enhances my spirituality and the love I have for a culture that today still (in my opinion) has fallen short of the right and correct appreciation and respect. The values, especially, are near and dear to my heart. Delete Comment
