The only reason I'm writing this review is because of some technical issues I had with the disc. The transfer to DVD looked pretty awful, as far as DVD transfers nowadays go. The encoding quality is not acceptable and I'm surprised Warner Brothers allowed this transfer to be released. That being said, it is most likely still much better than the VHS version. The menus also didn't work right. There is noticible fringing on the silhouette shots that wouldn't be on the film, as well as some other technical problems with fringing and blockiness/grain. But the technical must give way to the story, and the plot, chatacters, acting, cinematography, etc., are all excellent. The only thing that didn't work for me was the scrolling text at the very beginning and end -- it didn't really contribute to the dramatic story being told. But, as the title of my review says, these minor annoyances included, the film is not unforgivable. I highly recommend it.
