Read Me First
If you're new to the group or the non-review concept, one of the only ways for the "reviews that aren't reviews" to be removed is to flag them.
Therefore, the following is suggested:
1. check out the threads that have been started,
(See below for a list of all the links to each Alphabetical page.)
2. check out the titles,
3. If they are still up on the MDP (Movie Display Page), then flag them - (do not, vote as "not helpful", that doesn't work) - "this is not a review"
(If you've previously flagged areview, then you can either ignore it, or simply reply to that posting that you've flagged it before. It takes more than just a few people to flag a title for it to be removed.)
4. reply to the one who posted the title that you flagged it. The more people who flag them, the faster they'll be removed.
If you have time to flag onereview a day, that is also very helpful.
5. If you notice that a title has been removed, then please reply that it has been removed.
6. Found a non-review title? Then let us know by posting it in the appropriate thread.
Keep each review to a separate reply. It'll be much easier to keep track of what's been removed and what's not. DO NOT post as a reply to the previous poster, but as a NEW POST in the thread (in the box right below the discussion header)
With titles beginning with A/The, use the next word as the reference point in deciding which thread to post thereview in.
7. Start again with #1.
8. If you have time, going through each letter of the alphabetical threads and posting the status of thereview is very helpful by checking to see if they're still on the same MDP, moved to another page (please link to the page # it's moved to), or removed.
Update 8/26/09: Due to the conflict of different browsers it will take two confirmations to make sure that a particular non-review has been removed. Here's a list of all those that need double checking.
Not sure if a particular review warrants to be flagged? Post it here first.
Wish to view by the latest reply? Click "View All", also at the bottom of the list of the discussions, right above the comments, to the right of "Start Discussion".
