I saw it, too, but was less impressed. Hey, I have found that hick town New England is full of lesbians, mostly closeted. Esp. true in Vermont, but they're not closeted.
I am a documentary fiend and there is a lot of good material out there on the subject. I have a good many of them queued up. I just watched a fairly good one called the Aggressives, which follows a group of extremely masculine lesbains - one rung above butch and one rung under trans-gendered - for a period of five years. It is interesting how, as a culture, we love to classify sexuality as if people could fit snugly into categories within their sexuality. It did a good job, though I feel it could have done deeper. All and all, well worth the watch.
if so, i would submit Curl Girls. it is a 'day in the life' show about a group of lesbians who get together because they all like to surf. nothing really special, but it is a candid look into a small sub-culture. most of the series revolves around relationship drama. i enjoyed it.
