A Netflix Community

Not sure if this is the right forum to post this question, if not, please let me know where would be better.

I've been going nuts trying to remember the name of a movie I saw about 20 years ago, thought a film school board might be a good place to ask. It was about putting on a shakespeare play in a drafty, cold old church. It was basically a comedy. I thought it was a Branagh movie but apparently not. There were a ragtag group of actors, one was drunk, another was a woman named "Faj", I thought it was Hamlet but apparently not. A notable scene was this: when they finally put the play on, an actor who was supposed to show fear did this very well by randomly firing a machine gun over the audience. Ringing any bells?

Thanks,
Lloyd

I believe you are describing K. Branagh's A Midwinter's Tale.
