The Soundtracks to Our Lives

This is a group for people that love music in films, either made for films or just songs placed artfully into movies. Not only that but it would be great to discuss the music made by movie starts from Kevin Bacon (and his brother) to Zooey Deschanel

Eddie and the Cruisers had a great soundtrack provided by John Cafferty and the Beaver Brown Band. If you've never seen the movie look up the song "On The Dark Side". Next to that, probably my favorite soundtrack would have to be Across The Universe. Major props to the composers of that movie for taking already brilliant songs and taking them to a whole nother level.

Times Square soundtrack is one of the earlier and best soundtracks. better than the film itself was. patti's "pissing in a river" - fukken stellar.

I like the music from the TV series, Mad Men. It has this whole retro vibe that meshes pretty well: Perry Como, Bobby Darin, Sinatra, Ella Fitzerald, and big bands. Pretty cool series.

Lately I've been having fun listening to soundtracks from the library. Funny how you can get a great feel for the movie. I heard "Company" and discovered I would hate that movie. LIstened to " Bridge to Tibethia" and clearly recalled why I was so disappointed in it.

If you like 80's music, check out the "13 Going on 30" soundtrack. It's my pre-teen years all rolled into one album. Rick Springfield... need I say more?

Huge fan of 80's music, and I don't think there has been an Adam Sandler film yet that didn't have great 80's soundtracks.
