The 2007 Christmas Special with Kylie Minogue will air on the SciFi channel Friday, April 18. Better than last year's, not as good as the first, imho.

The fourth series started last week in the UK and will be premiering here Friday, April 25.

I'm very interested in hearing what people think of the new companion. I was really bothered (or should I say "bovvered"?) by the fact that they were bringing back Catherine Tate since she's the only reason I didn't enjoy the 2006 Christmas Special. But I have to say she's not bad. I would even go so far as to say that she's fairly tolerable. (I'm cheating and downloading them before they air, but I promise I'll be careful about spoilers.)

I hear lots of good things about him, though I haven't seen any of his stuff other than a few DW episodes he wrote. I'm planning to watch Jekyll this year, which he wrote.

We will also be getting 4 or 5 movies instead of a 13 episode season.

Oh my god the SciFi channel is killing me! I have been waiting, ever so patiently, to discuss the most recent episodes but they keep taking it off the air to show something else. What was it last time? Some Stargate marathon? I can't remember. Then this Friday it's, of course, a Star Trek marathon because of the holiday. Meanwhile, I'm about to implode.

Starting with The Doctor's Daughter the show just keeps getting better and better and more exciting. Well, except for the Agatha Christie episode. I thought Silence in the Library and Forest of the Dead were excellent episodes and I really enjoyed Alex Kingston's character, especially with how she related to the Doctor.

The next episode, which airs here next Friday, is called Midnight and after that it's a three-part season finale, the first two of which I've seen and promise not to comment on. But here's the thing, if everything at SciFi stays on schedule, the three-parter should be airing here on July 18, July 25 and August 1. So on August 2, I fully expect to see some major action in this group. Got it? Good. :)

It seems Sci-Fi channel is editing the final episode again. It is 65 minutes and instead of showing it in 90 minutes, they are trimming it down to like 45 minutes and playing it in 1 hour. Grrr.

I may have to download an unedited copy and watch it the way you do.

Anyway, I loved the library episodes too. Moffat wrote those, which is promising for the future of DW.

I can't even imagine how they can cut 20 minutes of the season finale and have it make any sense at all. Crazy SciFi people. It'll be interesting to watch both versions to see what they got rid of.

Good news... it looks like SciFi will be giving the DW season finale a 90-minute time slot so hopefully nothing (or not much) will be cut.
