You just beat me to posting the news!

I've not seen him in anything yet, so I don't have an opinion on him. I had been thinking about watching the Sally Lockhart movie for Billie Piper though.

Watch it! I have seen both and I love them. I watched them with my parents when they were on Mystery and totally enjoyed them. Ironically I recognized him from Secret Diary of a Call Girl not the Sally Lockhart movie.

I watched the full Confidential (most of it was a retrospective of all the doctors) with interviews of Steven Moffat and others. They said he was the 3rd person they interviewed and he was perfect for the Doctor, but they spent a couple more weeks on interviews they had already set up and he was a no-brainer choice. Hopefully he is at least half as perfect for the role as they think he is. I guess we will find out in just another 14 months or so...
