Well, I don't get fixated to much on catagories or whatever. Mostly I just watch them and either enjoy them, or I don't. But I understand what you mean, is Alien, or Aliens 2 a Sci-fi film or a horror film. For me I think the former as it definitely has elements of science, and that for me is the litmus test. At any rate, I enjoyed A Clockwork Orange immensely, if you like Malcolm McDowell might I recommend a little movie
called O Lucky Man. It was made directly after A Clockwork, and is strange in its own righty right, and should kick you squarely in the yarbles if ye haven't seen it yet mate. It's the middle part of a trilogy he made with director Anderson. Another film of the grey area of SF that I enjoyed was KPax, and although it's sort of a slow movie, I enjoyed wondering if the lead character was insane, an alien, or just something else all together. Brother From Another Planet is sort of along the same lines, but worth checking out, and I also recommend the movie, Jacob's Ladder.

Both KPax and Jacob's Ladder are phenomenal in my opinion. I'll have to check out O Lucky Man, thanks for the recommendation!

I really liked Donnie Darko too, although that had stronger Sci-fi elements to it than say... Unbreakable. Both are terrific movies, though.
